About us

We are the final stage for complaints about the NHS in England and public services delivered by the UK Government. We look into complaints where someone believes there has been injustice or hardship because an organisation has not acted properly or fairly or has given a poor service and not put things right.
Our service is free for everyone.

About the role

As an Information Risk and Policy Officer, you will play a critical role in the protection of PHSO’s information and people.  We are looking for someone who is passionate about cyber and information security, who is committed to understanding the impact of new technologies and tools on how we work and live. You’ll be disciplined and thorough, accurately updating our security and risk registers and tracking new developments and requests from the business. You’ll champion good information security practice providing advice, support and training. You understand that the world is changing so you look for new ways of working to ensure that PHSO keeps pace with new legislative and technological developments such as cloud, AI and consumer applications. You’ll work as part of a team committed to upholding information and privacy rights, to protecting sensitive information at scale, and dedicated to learning and expanding our knowledge and expertise.
