This is a report of ten investigations into complaints made to us about the standard of care provided to older people by the NHS.
These stories, the results of investigations concluded in 2009 and 2010, are not easy to read. They illuminate the gulf between the principles and values of the NHS Constitution and the felt reality of being an older person in the care of the NHS in England.
