Information request about the increased budget for the External Affairs and Strategy Division

To offer some context to the documents, the increase in the budget for the External Affairs and Strategy division (EA&S) relates mainly to a change in PHSO’s structure that occurred in 2013. This saw a number of functions moved from other teams to EA&S and included the reassignment of duties from the Media, Marketing and Internal Communications division to a new corporate reporting structure. You will see this change reflected in some of the documents, for example on pages 18 and 29. I should add that where the budget increased for External Affairs and Insight (a previous working name of EA&S), they decreased overall for the PHSO, particularly for areas such as Corporate Resources and Executive Office. More information about the expanded functions of EA&S can be found on page 47.
