Information request relating to making a complaint to PHSO without an MP referral, and details about how to make a complaint about an MP's conduct
I write in response to your information request dated 26 January 2015 in which you asked:
"If an elected MP has failed to best review and progress their constituent's unresolved concerns about the ineffectiveness of the NHS Complaints system; who should the constituents progress their concerns with if they feel let down by their MP? Where on the PHSO website would one find best and clear advice about this issue?"
Complaints about the NHS can be made to PHSO directly. It is not necessary for these complaints to be referred to us via a Member of Parliament.
You can phone our Customer helpline on 0345 015 4033 if you require advice about making a complaint.
Details of how to make a complaint about an MP’s conduct can be found on our website.
I hope this information is helpful.
Yours sincerely
