About us

We are the final stage for complaints about the NHS in England and public services delivered by the UK Government. We look into complaints where someone believes there has been injustice or hardship because an organisation has not acted properly or fairly or has given a poor service and not put things right.
Our service is free for everyone.

About the role

As an information access officer you will provide a service for people who want to know more about the work of PHSO or are seeking personal or public information. You’ll be the first point of contact for information rights requests making sure that these are recorded accurately and in a timely fashion. You’ll be interested in privacy and information, and will be encouraged to build that passion into expertise. Being an information access officer at PHSO is the first step to a career in privacy and data protection. We ask for integrity, enthusiasm and a commitment to our values. In return we’ll provide training, support and a structured career pathway.
