About us

We are the final stage for complaints about the NHS in England and public services delivered by the UK Government. We look into complaints where someone believes there has been injustice or hardship because an organisation has not acted properly or fairly or has given a poor service and not put things right.
Our service is free for everyone.

About the role

Do you have experience of both internal and external stakeholder engagement?

We are currently recruiting for a Liaison Officer to join our team. As part of your role you will support PHSO’s Liaison Managers, acting as ambassadors for PHSO when carrying out relevant liaison activities.

The successful candidate will display excellent communication skills (including verbal and written) and interpersonal skills. As part of your role you will provide advice, guidance and support to organisations, in a variety of ways, on all aspects of the Ombudsman’s role and processes. You will deal with enquiries and challenges effectively to secure good outcomes.

You will be expected to write and prepare briefings for liaison meetings, including working with colleagues throughout the office to analyse casework and identify themes and issues to share with organisations, to help deliver service improvement.
