PHSO is an independent national ombudsman service. We make final decisions on complaints that have not been resolved by the NHS in England, UK government departments and some other public organisations. We do this fairly and without taking sides. Our service is free.
About the role
Working closely with the Learning and Development Business Partner, Learning and Development team and wider project team you will be accountable for delivering our plans and sharing digital expertise.
This expertise will help us strengthen our reputation within the organisation and achieve our goal of designing a digital learning framework that will meet our current and future needs.
As a specialist digital learning professional, you will design and manage the end-to-end delivery of our digital learning ambitions for our internal learners and other external organisations within our remit.
Your role will be to consult with internal and external stakeholders to design and produce a wide range of high-quality digital learning.
Main Duties:
• Use strong consultancy skills as the L+D specialist in digital learning, providing subject matter expertise to design and manage the end-to-end digital learning process.
• Engage with managers, leaders and subject matter experts to translate learning briefs into engaging interactive digital content.
• Develop digital learning which is inclusive and provides an excellent user experience
• Champion and build digital skills and confidence across the organisation through training and support
• Own and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
• Research user needs using a range of methods to test and iterate new content, design and functionality
• Analyse complex data to extract key insights and evaluate projects, focusing on effectiveness and improving products and services
The Successful Applicant
Essential:
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of different digital design technologies and instructional design methods, including ADDIE, SAM, Action Mapping, etc.
• Familiarity with the use of spreadsheets and databases
• Creative with the ability to apply design skills to different learning interventions, e.g. E-learning, infographics, videos, etc.
• Expertise with authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline 360 to create content that can be consumed on multiple devices and screen sizes
• Management of course activities and content performance using LMS analytics and learner feedback
• End-to-end video creation experience including editing and production.
Desirable:
• Strong project management experience
• Flexible and adaptable in their approach to working
