Amanda Amroliwala has announced that she will leave her role as Chief Executive of the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman later this year after over six years in the role.
Amanda said:
“PHSO is a remarkable organisation full of wonderful people. It has been an absolute privilege to work with them. With the Ombudsman’s term of office concluding at the end of March 2024, it was important to deconflict my departure to ensure continuity of leadership. I am confident that I am leaving PHSO in great shape for my successor to develop and deliver the ambitious commitments in our 2022-2025 strategy.”
Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman, Rob Behrens said:
“Amanda’s leadership has been outstanding and exemplary and I am grateful for her constant support and advice in the six years we have worked together. The PHSO has gone from strength to strength and that is a testament to Amanda’s dedication. I speak on behalf of my fellow Board members and everyone at PHSO when I thank her for all that she has achieved.”
The recruitment has now started for a new chief executive. Amanda will remain in post until her successor is appointed later this year.
