About the role

The Post holder will be accountable for the operational delivery of the HR Business Partnering service and Transactional team by providing   operational day to day management to the team to ensure that an effective and efficient HR service is delivered to the business.

In addition to this they will implement and manage the application of HR policies and procedures within a legal framework, proactively supporting the line managers in all employee relations matters; this will include involvement in restructuring, reorganisation programmes and change. Promotion of Learning, development and inclusivity will also be key aspects of this role.

About the person

You will be excellent in engaging and communicating with a range of our senior managers, staff and colleagues, building positive relationships to achieve outcomes

CIPD qualification or demonstrable similar experience and evidence of strong commitment to continuing professional development are essential along with the ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.

To succeed, you will have significant experience of a generalist HR, in particular restructuring and redundancy within the public sector. A hands- on approach and a proven track record of managing change, managing a team and individuals, making decisions and taking action in a timely manner.
