About the role
We are currently recruiting for a Procurement and Contracts Manager to join our Finance and Procurement Team based in our Manchester office.
Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for leading and managing the procurement service, providing advice and guidance on all aspects of procurement and ensuring best practice, whilst delivering value for money.
As part of your role you will lead on all procurement, tender and contracts management matters in PHSO, including the identification of changes to procurement practices and procedures necessitated by changes in legislation and developments in best practice. You will also be expected to actively consider and suggest ways to improve the procurement and supply chain service, consulting with stakeholders and acting in a way to meet customer needs.
The ideal candidate will be CIPS qualified, with proven knowledge of procurement processes, strategies, tools and techniques relating to best practice in procurement and contracting. In this role you will be responsible for one direct report, therefore previous experience of people management is essential, as well as a demonstrable track record in building and sustaining relationships to achieve results, both internally and externally.
