About us

We are the final stage for complaints about the NHS in England, UK government departments and some other UK public organisations. We look into complaints where someone believes there has been injustice or hardship because an organisation has not acted properly or fairly or has given a poor service and not put things right. Complaints about government departments and other public organisations are referred to us through MPs, while those about the NHS in England are usually received directly from complainants.

About the role

As ICT Programme Manager, you will lead the ICT Change Portfolio, in support of the wider PHSO transformation programme, responsible for the efficient day to day running of the programme of work. You will support and encourage the adoption of programme and project management practise and discipline across the organisation.

 

You will be responsible for the effective line management of a small ICT change team. In addition you will manage relationships with non IT and third party staff across multiple work streams. Working closely with relevant stakeholders to manage business demand and project prioritisation against delivery capacity, driving commercial negotiations to achieve project budget targets.

 

The successful candidate will demonstrate a commercial understanding of project deliverables and have proven experience of managing commercial benefit achievement as an integral part of projects. Knowledge of or experience working within Central Government would be an advantage.
