Dr Julia Tabreham
Dr Julia Tabreham has worked in the third sector for 23 years after an early career in banking. In 1992, she established the Carers Federation, which delivers a range of advice and support services to carers and organisations in the healthcare sector. These have included the Independent Complaints Advocacy Service, patient and public involvement forums and most recently HealthWatch Pathfinders and HealthWatch Local.
She also serves on the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence Guideline Development Group for mental health in the criminal justice system, and has been a non-executive director in the NHS for 16 years.
