We're inviting members of the public and advocacy professionals to join us face-to-face at our Dilemma Cafés in March. We'll ask you to share your unique perspectives and views to help improve our work and make lasting improvements to public services.
What is a Dilemma Café?
A Dilemma Café is an opportunity for people to get together over coffee, tea, cake or other refreshments to discuss ethical challenges. It involves listening to and respecting others, asking questions, coming up with ideas and working together to find solutions.
Taking part in the Dilemma Café will give you the chance to:
- work with others committed to making public services better
- draw on your own experiences to make positive change
- gain new skills and experiences.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided and members of the public who take part will get a £50 shopping voucher as a thank you for their time. Please note that participants would not be employed by the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman and this payment may affect your tax or benefits, depending on how much you earn.
Dates
We are hosting two afternoon Dilemma Cafés:
- Manchester on Wednesday 13 March
- London on Wednesday 20 March.
Venues will be wheelchair accessible.
